Where's Joe?
Joe Weber, Sales Director

Joe WeberBy the time this editorial reaches your mailbox, I may have already paid you a visit. During the next four months I will be out on the road traveling from city to city, talking about the new UL325 changes. Here at Encon, we consider the UL325 standard the single most important issue ever to effect the automatic gate operator industry. As a result, we are determined to provide as much information about the new UL325 to as many of our customers as we possibly can. We are hoping my door to door visits allows us to accomplish this goal.

Earlier this year, I wrote about the new UL325, giving everyone a heads up about the preliminary changes that need to take place prior to the enforcement of this standard. I am looking forward to March 1st, because I believe that the UL325 is going to be beneficial for all parties involved, including the consumer.

Along with my personal visits, there are many sources regarding UL325 that you can rely on to get accurate information about this standard. There are trade publications and statements from individual manufacturers that provide specific information on how they are working to comply with the changes that UL325 promotes.

Additionally, there is a golden opportunity available in January at the AFA trade show. The AFA will be hosting three different seminars dealing with UL325, including a mock trial. This will give you a first-hand look at the steps plaintiffs and defense attorneys take to prepare their cases. If you are interested in any of the information I have mentioned, please give us a call and we can provide it for you. See you on the road!
